Southeastern Section of the Mathematical Association of America was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic

The Department of Mathematical Sciences at High Point University is proud to be hosting the annual conference for the Southeastern Section of the Mathematical Association of America (MAA) on March 12-14, 2020.

In addition to plenary talks by Dr. Matt Baker (Professor Mathematics and Associate Dean for Faculty Development at Georgia Tech University) and Dr. Rachel Levy (MAA Deputy Executive Director), there will be contributed paper sessions on many topics.

Student activities include:
– Sessions in which undergraduates can present their research
– A graduate school and career fair
– A Jeopardy! style competition, and
– A graduate student workshop.

Dr. Julia Barnes (Western Carolina University, and Dr. Nicole Panza (Francis Marion University) will be presenting in the Distinguished Lectures for Students.
