High Point University EDP Holds Orientation

HIGH POINT, N.C., Aug. 15, 2006 - High Point University's Evening Degree Program will hold its orientation for students enrolled in both the High Point and Budd campus in Winston-Salem Aug. 16 at 5:30 p.m. in the Slane University Center on the High Point campus.

Scheduled activities will include helpful tips, academic advising, meeting with a representative from each student's major, computer services information, financial aid assistance, academic services available, understanding transfer credits and library services information. Classes for the evening degree and graduate programs are conducted at the High Point campus and at the Budd Campus, with enrollment almost evenly divided between the two.

High Point's Evening Degree Program has offered a comprehensive program for working adults since 1978 and is the oldest program of its kind in the Piedmont Triad. Between the High Point and Winston-Salem campuses, the program enrolls more than 1,000 students. More than 4,000 undergraduate degrees have been awarded. The Budd Family campus includes 44 classrooms, two science labs, four computer labs, a bookstore and a library.
