Welcome to the High Point University Family!

Dear Student,

You are extraordinary and you have chosen an extraordinary institution. Now that you are a member of the HPU family, let me explain the power behind the HPU promise and what it means for you.

Our promise to you and your parents is simple: At High Point University, every student receives an extraordinary education in an inspiring environment with caring people.

As HPU faculty and staff, we are obligated to honor this promise. However, the success of the “HPU Experience” is based on the idea that we see not an obligation, but an opportunity. We see the opportunity to promote “learning” as a life-long endeavor to be relished! We see the opportunity to prepare you for a life of success and significance. We see the opportunity to model the values of service, generosity, gratitude, fellowship and joy.

High Point University is an EXTRAORDINARY institution, an INSPIRING institution, and a CARING institution because each member of our faculty and staff is passionate about the opportunity we have to positively impact your life.

While faculty and staff are here to help you on your journey, remember that this is a partnership.  To succeed, you will need to work hard, prepare, study, give back, and commit to purposeful collaboration with your faculty mentors and fellow students. We will support you on your journey, but your choices will determine your path.

When you arrive in a few weeks, challenge yourself to meet every moment with the “spirit” of opportunity. Challenge yourself to live by our call to action: Be Extraordinary!

Welcome home. Welcome to High Point University!
