Academic Assessment and Testing

All students will be required to participate in several academic testing sessions throughout the school year. The purpose of these testing sessions will be to evaluate the general education curriculum, student satisfaction and several other areas that are important to the operation of High Point University and the well being of its students. Further information about these testing sessions will be provided to you each semester by the Office of Institutional Effectiveness.

Important Testing Notices

Students who have not attended Early Registration should take all online placement tests by August 2, 2013. Students who do not complete all required placement tests before arriving on campus will not be able to register for the courses that depend on placement test results (English, Foreign Language, and Mathematics). If required to do so, you must complete the placement test process before you can register for these classes.

Please direct all questions regarding placement tests to Mrs. Andrea Kennedy, Coordinator of Institutional Assessment, (336) 841-9283,
