This is a wonderful opportunity for the parents and/or grandparents to come on campus to not only see their student in person, but to enjoy a fun-filled weekend. Your students will be thrilled to see you ( and get ready, your pocketbook will get a little lighter with all the necessary things they will suddenly need in their residential room!). Also, if your student is not returning home for the Fall break, this is a good opportunity for everyone to visit and breaks up the time between visits home.
Tip: Your student may decides to take an “alternative break” which is usually a Habitat for Humanity build or service focused trip. Previous alternative Spring breaks have been taken to Pennsylvania, Iowa, Texas, Florida, Alabama, Georgia, and Mississippi. This is a good opportunity to connect with a diverse group of university students and contribute to community service.
