High Point University’s Department of Physical Therapy opened the community physical therapy pro bono clinic in late 2017 to serve the High Point community. HPU faculty and Doctor of Physical Therapy students provide their professional services at no cost to patients in need. In addition to providing medical needs, the High Point University pro bono clinic houses a donation-funded food pantry.
Thank you to the families who participated and helped in kicking off The HPU DPT Food Pantry Food Drive on Sunday, October 29, 2017. We started off with a strong 180+ food items for the pro bono clinic’s food pantry, plus were able to experience the smiling faces and laughs from your families enjoying the Halloween activities within the High Point University Community Center.
The Department of Physical Therapy’s 2nd Annual Halloween Family 5K Fun Run & Walk and Food Drive is scheduled for Sunday, October 28, 2018 from 2:00pm-5:00pm at the High Point University Community Center. We are asking families to donate non-perishable food items at the door when bringing their children to participate in Halloween activities, including games and giveaways. Costumes are encouraged! We look forward to seeing you there!
