Physician Assistant Mission and Vision

MISSION

The High Point University Physician Assistant Studies Program will be dedicated to providing the highest quality of academic and clinical education, grounded in the development of character and personal responsibility and guided by the principles of academic excellence and ethical rigor.
The Program’s overall purpose will be to produce graduates who

  • are prepared with the necessary knowledge and skills to reliably perform the role of a physician assistant
  • contribute to the advancement of knowledge in their discipline and in medicine
  • assume lifelong responsibility for ongoing learning and active participation in a changing health care environment
  • are prepared to provide healthcare services to all persons regardless of race, culture, spiritual beliefs, gender or socioeconomic status

The High Point University Physician Assistant Studies Program will be a preeminent leader in physician assistant education with a national reputation for excellence in innovative curriculum, research and scholarship, community engagement and clinical care.
