Matt Carnaghi is working with Dr. Briana Fiser at High Point University. Matt is designing and fabricating biomimetic cilia to investigate fluid flow in mucus mimics. He is using MATLAB and ImageJ to calculate flow velocities as a function of height. Matt is an intern in the Summer Research Program in Science (SuRPS) at High Point University.

Rodrigo Catalan-Hurtado

Rodrigo Catalan is working with Dr. Brad Barlow at High Point University. Rodrigo is monitoring the spectrum of the newly-discovered binary star system HD 318015 with the SMARTS 1.5-m telescope in order to determine its orbital parameters (period, velocity, etc.). He's writing his own Python code to be able to reduce and analyze the data. Rodrigo is an intern in the Summer Research Program in Science (SuRPS) at High Point University.

Matthew Iczkowski

Matt is an intern with Callaway. Matt's career goal is to combine his interests in golf and science to test and design the next generation of golf equipment.

Max Maurer

Max Maurer is working with Dr. Briana Fiser at High Point University. Max is designing and fabricating biomimetic cilia to investigate fluid flow in mucus mimics. He is using MATLAB to model the cilia as a function of their material parameters. He is Max is an intern in the Summer Research Program in Science (SuRPS) at High Point University.

Alan Vasquez is working with Dr. Brad Barlow at High Point University. Alan is monitoring the pulsating hot subdwarf star CS 1246 with the robotic SKYNET telescopes in order to help determine the driving mechanism behind the pulsations. He's writing his own Python code to produce light curves from the data. Alan is an intern in the Summer Research Program in Science (SuRPS) at High Point University.
