The Application Process
The 2009 Presidential Scholarship application will be available in July 2008. The deadline for submitting the Presidential Scholarship application is December 19, 2008.

*You may submit a Presidential Scholarship application prior to being notified of acceptance to High Point University.

The Selection Process
Students who have completed the application process (including the application and supporting documents) and who have submitted the Presidential Scholarship application, will have their applications reviewed by the University Scholarship Committee. The University Scholarship Committee gives consideration to the high school transcript, SAT/ACT scores, high school activities, and demonstrated leadership.

As a result of the preliminary evaluation by the University Scholarship Committee, semifinalists will be invited to interview on campus during Presidential Scholarship Weekend- February 13-14, 2009 or February 27-28, 2009. All interviews will be conducted on the High Point University campus- alternate interview dates or telephone interviews are not available.

Only those persons invited to campus as a result of the preliminary evaluation may sit for interviews.
