Spring 2015 Worship

All services are held 5:30 – 6:15 p.m. unless otherwise noted.

January

  • 14 - The Contemporary Ensemble will provide the music. Pi Kappa Alpha, Beta Theta Pi and Kappa Sigma fraternities will serve as worship leaders and fellowship hosts.
  • 19 - Martin Luther King Day Service 11:00 a.m. — Martin Luther King Day Service — Dr. Louise Toppin, soprano, and the Genesis Gospel Choir will provide the music. Kappa Alpha Psi, NPHC, Delta Sigma Theta, Zeta Phi Beta, and Alpha Kappa Alpha will serve as worship leaders and fellowship hosts.
  • 21 – The Chapel Choir will provide the music. Phi Mu and Pi Kappa Phi will serve as worship leaders and fellowship hosts.
  • 28 - A choir from Jamestown United Methodist Church will provide the music. Alpha Gamma Delta and Alpha Chi Omega sororities will serve as worship leaders and fellowship hosts.

February

  • 4 – Dr. Marc Foster, Chair of the Department of Music, will provide the music. Phi Mu and Beta Theta Pi will serve as worship leaders and fellowship hosts.
  • - Family Weekend Service 10:00 a.m. – This special service is for current students and family members visiting our campus. The Chapel Choir will provide the music. The Board of Stewards will serve as ushers and greeters.
  • 11 - The HPU Percussion Ensemble will provide the special music. Sigma Sigma Sigma sorority will serve as worship leaders and fellowship hosts.
  • 18 - The Offbeats will provide the music. Kappa Delta sorority will serve as worship leaders and fellowship hosts.
  • 25 - The Chapel Choir will provide the music. Pi Kappa Alpha and Pi Kappa Phi fraternities will serve as worship leaders and fellowship hosts.

March

  • 4 – The Contemporary Ensemble will provide the music. Zeta Tau Alpha sorority will serve as worship leaders and fellowship hosts.
  • 11 - No Service – Spring Break
  • 18 - The Asheboro High School Choir will provide the music. Alpha Gamma Delta and Alpha Chi Omega sororities will serve as worship leaders and fellowship hosts.
  • 25 - The Chamber Singers will provide the music. Kappa Delta sorority will serve as worship leaders and fellowship hosts.

April

  • 1 - Holy Week Service – Taize music will be featured. Phi Mu and Beta Theta Pi will serve as worship leaders and fellowship hosts.
  • 8 - Easter Service –  A Choir from Penn-Griffin School of the Arts in High Point will provide the music. Sigma Sigma Sigma and Zeta Tau Alpha sororities will serve as worship leaders and fellowship hosts.
  • 15 - Spring Music Festival of Worship – The Genesis Gospel Choir, the Toccatatones, the Chapel Choir, and the Petal Points will be featured in this special service of music. Kappa Alpha Psi, Delta Sigma Theta, NPHC, and Alpha Gamma Delta will serve as worship leaders and fellowship hosts.
  • 22 – No service – Honors Day
  • 29 – End of the Year Service — The Chapel Choir and the HPU Flute Ensemble will provide the music for this final service of the academic year. The Class of 2015 will be our special guests. The Board of Stewards and Zeta Tau Alpha will serve as worship leaders and fellowship hosts.
