Student Satisfaction and Engagement
The Office of Research and Planning oversees the annual administration of the Student Satisfaction Inventory and the National Survey of Student Engagement. Both of these assessments are instrumental in High Point University’s ongoing efforts to enhance students’ academic, social, and overall living experiences, and to improve student retention and graduation rates.
Through the administration of the ETS Proficiency Profile, the Office of Research and Planning contributes to the university’s curriculum development efforts, particularly in the assessment of the general education core. The ETS Proficiency Profile is one tool we use to gauge whether High Point University students are reaching expected proficiency levels in such areas as mathematical reasoning, writing and reading comprehension, and critical thinking.
