13th Annual Assessment Conference
Pre-Conference Workshops: June 7, 2017
Conference: June 8, 2017
High Point University, High Point, North Carolina
The 2017 NCICU Assessment Conference is our 13th meeting to support institutions’ use of evidence to enhance and improve institutional effectiveness. We are pleased to announce that Dr. Susan Bosworth, Associate Provost, Office of Institutional Accreditation & Effectiveness with the College of William & Mary, will provide the keynote address and a workshop session during the conference. The theme for this year’s conference is Accountability: Telling Our Story Through Assessment and will be held at High Point University on Wednesday, June 7 and Thursday, June 8, 2017.
Similar to last year, the learning opportunities this year will include two half-day pre-conference workshops. The morning workshop, designed particularly for those who seek a deeper understanding of assessment, is titled “Assessment 101: Foundation for Good Assessment Practice.” The afternoon workshop entitled “Survey Design” will guide those newer to assessment in how to effectively design surveys. The pre-conference workshops are suitable for all audiences and will be held on June 7, 2017.
The Call for Proposals was sent to member campuses in early March. For the second year, the conference and Call for Proposals will also be open to the University of North Carolina system institutions as well as South Carolina and Virginia private, independent colleges and universities. A Call for Proposals was sent to those campuses soon after.
