Pre-Professionals Club

Purpose: The primary focus of this club is to inform and prepare the members of every aspect of a graduate school or professional school application. Reason for existence is other clubs tend to just relay information to their members. This club is in place to prepare its members. This organization adds value to HPU by creating a club designed to guide its members through the process of writing personal statements and resumes and also to prepare members for graduate school interviews. Having a minimal GPA requirement of a 3.0 makes this club more prestigious than its similar clubs on campus. Each year the PreProfessional Club will start off by showing the requirements for the top five schools of each graduate program or professional program its members are interested in; this will allow each member to see what is required by their current pre-professional track and gives them a standard which they can base their goals. The PreProfessional Club will use the rest of the year to hold mock interviews, hold resume building workshops, provide study hours with other members in the club, and look over personal statement guidelines and examples. The club tasks are not limited.

Membership Criteria: Must have above a 3.0 GPA and be on a health related track.
