Teachers of Tomorrow

Purpose:  One purpose of Teachers of Tomorrow is to give back to the students and faculty of local schools . One way we have done this in the past is by doing the Extreme Classroom Makeover, which is where we selected a teacher at a local school and completely redid her classroom. We also gave her an iPad to use in her classroom and many other great resources. Another way we have provided service to local schools in the past is by bringing the ice cream truck to local schools. We also provide tutoring services at the Boys and Girls club and Florence Elementary. Another purpose of Teachers of Tomorrow is to volunteer time in the community and on campus. An example of this purpose being exhibited is that we adopted children for the holidays from Ward Street Ministries to buy them gifts so they would have something to open on the holidays. A final purpose of TOT is that we provide social opportunities to our members, so they are able to meet other people in their major. This is done through the Holiday party and TOT Banquet.

Membership Criteria:  Although TOT includes many education majors, anybody is welcome to join Teachers of Tomorrow.
