Below is a list of the chartered performing arts organizations on campus. Each organization has specific information about that organization’s purpose, meeting times and locations, contact information, and social media sites.

Genesis Gospel Choir

Purpose:  The purpose of Genesis is to share the gospel of Jesus Christ through song and dance. Genesis hopes to unite believers of all backgrounds to worship and to share their gifts and talents though worship.

Membership Criteria:  $10 Dues. The love to sing for God

Meeting Day: Sunday & Thursday

Meeting Time: 6:30pm 

Meeting Location: Hayworth Chapel Fellowship Hall

Offbeats

Purpose: The purpose of Offbeats is to serve as a co-ed a cappella group that performs music on campus and in the surrounding communities.

Membership Criteria: Any full-time undergraduate day student who has a passion for music is able to audition for Offbeats.

Petal Points

Purpose:  The Petal Points arrange and perform a cappella music at various venues around campus and the community. We provide music and entertainment for Open Houses, Family Weekend, Wednesday Night Live, Chapel and other opportunities. We work toward recording albums to get The Petal Points and High Point University’s name into the collegiate a cappella world.

Membership Criteria:  All full-time, female students are welcome to audition. Ladies wanting to audition are chosen on talent and schedule ability. Once a member, ladies are required to attend all rehearsal times and performances.

Toccatatones

Purpose:  The HPU Toccatatones is an all-male a cappella singing group dedicated to delivering high quality vocal performances at all venues, both on and off campus.

Membership Criteria:  Members must be a male HPU student and have gone through the selective audition process held in the beginning of fall semester, or in some circumstances the spring semester.
