Dr. Lukow, Chair of the Event and Sport Management Department, has been a member of the faculty at HPU since 2006. She received her Ph.D. from Indiana University, Bloomington in 2001. She currently teaches Introduction to Sport Management, Sport Law, and Sports Executive Boardroom Experience.

Dr. Hemme, Assistant Professor of Sport Management, joined the faculty at HPU in 2017 after receiving his Ph.D. from The University of Texas at Austin. He currently teaches Sport Finance, Organizational Behavior in Sport Organizations, Sport in Society, and Strategic Management of Sport Organizations. With a background in organizational behavior, change management, and sport entrepreneurship, he focuses on the comprehensive development of specialized skills, strategic thinking and leadership abilities. Dr. Anderson, Assistant Professor of Sport Management, joined the faculty at HPU in 2019 after receiving her Ph.D. from Texas A&M University. She currently teaches Gender Issues in Sport and Sport in Society. Based upon her experience as a former Division I volleyball athlete, her current research interests include role identity, team cohesion, and the impact of college sport on athlete well-being. Dr. Hall, Assistant Director of Career & Professional Development, has served as an adjunct instructor since 2015 in the Nido R. Qubein School of Communication. He currently teaches Professional Development in Sport Management. Previously, he came to High Point University as a Student Success Coach helping first year students with their academic transition to college. Dr. Hall worked closely with students majoring in Communication, which made a natural progression for him to serve in an instructor capacity. Read More


Mr. Jim Scott

Mr. Scott, a 1985 graduate of HPU in English/media communication and history, joined the faculty at HPU in 2017. He has a master’s degree and post-baccalaureate certificate in global studies from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. He currently teaches Sport Marketing, given his experience as a creative marketing consultant, sharing his expertise in audio production, strategic communication, and sport marketing. He has 30 years of experience as a radio and television broadcaster, as well as 20 years as a public address announcer, primarily for the Greensboro Grasshoppers and Greensboro Bats.
