Experience Chile up close and personal!  Learn about Chile’s journey into the 21st century and its participation in the global arena. Immerse yourself in the Spanish language and Chilean culture by living with a Chilean host family and practicing Spanish with Chilean students. You will earn EIGHT credits while studying at the Universidad Católica de Valparaíso.  Along the way, tour Santiago, get to know Valparaíso and Viña del Mar, and enjoy exciting excursions.  Return to High Point with two courses toward your Spanish major or minor and satisfy the Global Studies requirement.

Courses: SPA 2881: Special Topics & an on-site language course; fulfills the HPU Global Studies (GBS) requirement

Term: May 2014 (Tuition & Fees: $2,598)

Credit Hours: 8 (4 hours for HPU course SPA 2881, 4 hours for the language course in Chile)

Prerequisite: SPA 2130 with a C
