Get behind-the-scenes access to some of Ireland’s and Northern Ireland’s most successful and well-known nonprofit organizations. Spend time working at the only Habitat for Humanity Re-Store in Europe and see the wall in Belfast that continues to divide the Catholic and Protestant communities while learning about The Troubles. Learn about the Irish Red Cross and its history of work both in Ireland and around the world. Spend a day with the Brothers of Charity in the small community of Castlerea, where you will visit a typical Irish home, enjoy local hospitality, and meet with clients and staff of the organization. Other planned visits include The Shrine at Knock, Giant’s Causeway, and Cliffs of Mohr. This course meets the HPU Global Studies requirement.

  • Visit the historic Trinity College and see the Book of Kells
  • Have the opportunity to kiss the Blarney stone at Blarney Castle
  • See the Peace Walls & Murals and learn about the conflict in Belfast
  • Give back to the community while learning about Irish NGOs during days of service
  • See where the Titanic was built and explore the Titanic Museum
  • Spend time at the breathtaking Irish seaside
  • All breakfasts, 2 lunches and 5 dinners are included
