Shipping and Mail
Need to ship personal items to HPU before arrival? Ship items to the following: Student’s First & Last name; Summer Experience 2015; High Point University; 833 Montlieu Ave., High Point, NC 27268. Use the same address to send mail and packages throughout the month of July. Students will be assigned a Campus Box for fall semester. Students may pick up their mail, packages, etc. at the Slane Student Center post office window. Students will reside in the University Center 2. Room Assignments for SE2015 will be made available via your HPU email in mid-June. The Office of Student Life will utilize the housing questionnaire that each student filled out for fall housing in order to match like students together. You will check-out of your room on Friday afternoon, July 25 following your last final exam. Need local storage options? If you know someone else attending SE2014 and wish to room with them or if you have questions regarding housing or require special living arrangements, please direct your requests and/or questions to the Office of Student Life at 336-841-9231 or email email@example.com.
The dining plan is included in the comprehensive SE2015 fee. Students attending SE2015 may dine at any of the following campus locations: Slane Center Cafe, Slane Center Starbucks, The Point, Great Day Bakery, The Wanek Center C-Store and 1924 Prime Steakhouse. Reservations for 1924 PRIME may be made once per week, they are open Tuesday –Thursday July 8 – 23. Details concerning the dining plan will be addressed during the Summer Experience Orientation on June 28.
Special Needs/Disability Support
Students who have special needs should contact Dr. Allen Goedeke immediately to make arrangements by calling 336-841-9191. Students with particular dietary needs and students with physical disabilities who require accommodations or other special needs should contact Student Life at 336-841-9231. Students with learning disabilities should send information to Rita Sullivant in the Office of Academic Development/Disability Support (HPU, Drawer 5) or call 336-841-9061 or contact Dr. Allen Goedeke.
Textbooks must be reserved and purchased online. Go to http://highpoint.bncollege.com. Your SE2015 course information and how to order books online before you arrive is on the “SE2015 Course Information” sheet that was sent to you around May 22. If your order is not in your room when you arrive you can contact the bookstore in Slane Student Center, at 336-841-9221 or firstname.lastname@example.org. The bookstore will be open on Saturday, June 28 from 10:00 am – 5:00 pm if you need assistance.
If you did not attend an Early Registration event, you MUST complete all placement tests by May 21, and complete your Fall Schedule Proposal between May 26 and June 2. All students will have final exams in their courses. Arrangements should not be made to leave campus before noon on Friday, July 25 following the last Final Exam. Statements for your SE2015 fees have already been sent to you with balance due by May 30, 2015. The comprehensive SE2015 charge covers course tuition, room, dining plan, technology fees, and activity fees (books not included).
