The end of the summer is approaching, which means it is the perfect time of year to get in touch with your librarians. Next week, Tuesday August 19th through Friday August 22nd, HPU faculty are getting trained on Starfish Retention Solutions in the Instruction Lab at Smith Library. To take advantage of faculty already being in the library, HPU librarians want to answer any questions that faculty might have about library services and liaison duties. Librarians will be available after your Starfish training – from 1:30pm-5:00pm in Lecture Room 1, Tuesday-Friday of next week. So stop by with questions – or just to say hello!
We will also be conducting some quick, 30 minute faculty workshops on Friday August 22nd. At 1:30pm, I will be teaching about streaming resources from the library. At 2:30pm, David Bryden will talk about Turn-It-In. And finally at 3:30pm Kathy Shields will teach on Endnote. So if you are not too tired from your busy week of training and meetings, stop by to learn more about these library resources.
If there are any questions about these events, please free to email me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
