Sneak, Peek, and Eat is a special evening hosted by Dr. Nathan Hedman, professor of dramaturgy. Students are invited to come out for a fun and informative evening where they will get a behind-the-scenes tour of the acting studio, costume shop, and backstage area before sitting down to hear more about the story of the play from the director while enjoying a free dinner of pizza and drinks. Everyone is then escorted to their reserved seats and watch the show together.
This event is perfect for students that are curious about attending a theatre production but don’t know if they’ll like it or feel comfortable.
Sneak, Peek, and Eat will not be offered during the 2019-2020 year. We hope to return in the fall of 2020.
Some comments from past attendees:
“I had a great experience with the event, and I enjoyed being able to go to a show by myself but not alone!”
“Learning about the context and background of the show beforehand greatly enriched my viewing experience and understanding of the story (e.g., last Fall’s production of “Cabaret”), and exploring the set firsthand and hearing why specific design elements were selected to reflect the show was an amazing opportunity.”
“I thought hearing about the background of the play was very interesting, and getting to see behind the scenes was also really fun!”
“These are amazing and they really help further my enjoyment of the productions! Please do more!!”
