HIGH POINT UNIVERSITY VOLUNTEERS NEEDED – BE A PART OF A NATIONAL ATHLETIC CHAMPIONSHIP
VOLUNTEERS WILL RECEIVE
All Volunteers will receive training, tee shirts, HPU ball caps, and meal tickets at Orientation Thursday evening.
General orientation will be followed by breakout sessions with area captains.
Hospitality area is available to all volunteers while they are wearing their Volunteer tee shirt, with snacks and beverages.
Meal tickets will be for a sandwich, pizza slice, etc. – “real food” – if the volunteer works Friday evening or Saturday during lunch or dinner.

DATES OF SERVICE
ALL VOLUNTEERS–Thursday, September 4th at 5:30 pm – mandatory training session
SET UP AND BREAKDOWN VOLUNTEERS
Friday, September 5th at 12:00 pm (or immediately after award ceremony)–Set Up and Banner Hanging–These workers will zip tie sponsor banners onto race fencing, help set up tables, chairs or tents in the In Zone, and set up other areas as needed. Begin at 12:00PM, expect to work two to three hours, maximum.
Saturday, September 6th at 8:30 pm: Terminal Fence and Banner Removal—These workers wilsl take down sponsor banners from the race fencing, sort, roll, label, and zip tie Banners
Saturday, September 6th at 10:3opm (or immediately after music ends)—Take down signage, secure rented table cloths, other rental and reace committee assets from the Terminal area
KID’S ZONE VOLUNTEERS
Inflatables, Friday and Saturday, September 5 and 6
These volunteers will supervise guests using the toys (Adrenaline Rush, Basketball, Sports Combo, Commander, Dunk Tank, and Monster Wheels)
Volunteer times–Friday, September 5 (5-7:00 pm) and Saturday, September 6 (11am – 1pm, 1pm – 3pm, 3pm – 5pm)
Kids’ Race, Friday, September 6 (12noon – 2:00pm)
These volunteers will work in the City Communication Room, switching DOT cameras to keep them on the racers as they circle the course

Mandatory orientation for all volunteer will be held on Thursday, September 4th at 5:30PM under the Transportation Terminal in downtown High Point.
