October is the month of pumpkins, hayrides and haunted houses, but did you know October is also International Strategic Planning Month?
Not only does High Point University’s Qubein School of Communication offer a 5th year Master’s degree in Strategic Communication, but as of this year, the NQSOC offers event management and sport management minors– and that makes us #HighPointHappy!
The B.A. to M.A. in strategic communication option – also known as a “5th year Master’s” – gives students the option of completing a two year Master’s degree in just a year by applying for admission into the MA program in their junior year, beginning the graduate-level courses in their senior year, and completing their MA in their 5th year.
Here’s the best part: you don’t have to be a communication major to be eligible! This option is open to all students at High Point University, regardless of your major!
Students interested in the selective and demanding program should reach out to Dr. Virginia McDermott: email@example.com.
The NQSOC is expanding its reach in the field of communication – this year, the School added two new minors, event management and sport management. These minors will instruct communication students in the art of planning, marketing, operations and logistics. These two new fields of study will open up new career opportunities and a variety of internship opportunities for HPU students.
Communication is one of the most versatile college majors, and the NQSOC focuses on strong verbal and written communication skills and advanced hands- on production competencies to assure that our students can interact with other professionals to create powerful and meaningful messages to local, national or global audiences.
Practice your communication skills by sharing what makes you #HighPointHappy!
