52 Weeks #HighPointHappy: HPU+TSwift

What do High Point University and Taylor Swift have in common? More than you probably think!

  1. High Point University and TSwift are both ranked #1 (High Point University is ranked the #1 Regional College in the South and TSwift is currently #1 on iTunes.)
  2. High Point University and TSwift are both celebrating today! Today marks ONE week until HPU’s Early Decision Application Deadline. #HPU2019. TSwift is also celebrating, as her much-anticipated album, #1989, hits stores today.

Okay, now that I’ve captured your attention…

Today, the Office of Undergraduate Admissions is filled with #HighPointHappy-ness as we approach the final countdown to our November 3, 2015 Early Decision application deadline.

That’s right; seven days, 168 hours, 10,080 minutes or 604,800 seconds. No matter how you measure it, you have one week left to apply Early Decision to High Point University.

We know that this is an exciting, and at points stressful, time for college-bound seniors. Early Decision, Early Action, Regular Decision. So many application plans! So how do you know which is right for you? Well, have no fear – we’re here to help!

Early Decision: This is for students who rank HPU #1 on their list. This is a binding agreement stating that if you get accepted you will withdraw applications from all other schools because you’re coming to HPU! Deadline: November 3; Notification; November 24

Advantage: Priority in merit-based scholarships, priority in housing, priority in registering for Freshman Orientation

Early Action: This is for students who rank HPU high up on their list, but aren’t ready to 100% commit. Deadline: November 17; Notification: December 15

Advantage: Second priority in merit-based scholarships, second priority in registering for Freshman Orientation

Regular Decision: It’s important to note that 85 percent of the High Point University Class of 2019 will be students who apply Early Decision and Early Action. Regular Decision is for students who find HPU late in the game and/or for students who want to strengthen their application by waiting to submit first semester grades or new standardized test scores before they apply.

We want you to choose the application plan that best suits your level of interest. Please do not hesitate to reach out to your admission counselors if you have any questions or need advice.

Just thinking about #HPU2019 makes me #HighPointHappy!

Until next time,
