Alpha Psi Omega -The National Theatre Honor Society<\/strong>: This organization is open to any student who wants to be involved in the Theater department\u2019s productions as well as student created theatrical works.\u00a0 Students acquire points for each production they work on which enables them to be eligible for official membership in this national charter.<\/p>\n

Fashion Forward <\/strong>at High Point University provides students with an opportunity to exchange creative and intellectual ideas related to the fashion industry by engaging in community service and professional development. Students are provided the opportunity to learn from guest speakers, participate in field trips to New York City, and meet with fellow students to discuss and engage in creative endeavors centered around a shared interest in fashion.<\/p>\n

Graphic Design Club\u00a0<\/strong>We are the daydreamers, mess makers, and creative thinkers of HPU. Simple enough right? We are just a group of HPU students who love graphic design.\u00a0Graphic Design Club offers aspiring professionals the opportunity to get involved, create community, and build leadership skills.\u00a0You belong in the Graphic Design Club!\u00a0<\/em>From art and design fans to graphic design majors or minors, we have a place for you. Join our email list by sending an email to aiga@highpoint.edu.\u00a0Meetings:\u00a0<\/strong>Mondays at 8PM.<\/p>\n

HPU Dance Company<\/strong>: This student run organization is open to all students interested in Dance. The company is dedicated to providing exciting dance experiences for its students and the High Point community. Students will be able to sign up for weekly classes taught by students, faculty, and guest artists and get the opportunity to perform through community outreach events. Interior Design and Merchandising Club\u00a0<\/strong>The club participates in service, such as the design of\u00a0Leslie’s House<\/em>\u00a0(local shelter) and creating gift boxes for the\u00a0Roy Cullen Senior Center<\/em>, as well well as traveling to specific locations of interest, such as period-home tours in Charleston, SC. Students also spend a weekend in NYC, taking the fashion\u00a0Windows Tour,<\/em>\u00a0visiting\u00a0Kleinfelds<\/em>, and having audiences with the\u00a0Kate Spade company,<\/em> plus others. Fashion Merchandising students utilize club members for content creation for the student\u00a0High Point Magazine<\/em>. Student chapters of professional organizations IIDA and ASID are also housed under the IDMC umbrella.<\/p>\n

Photography Club\u00a0<\/strong>The purpose of the Photography Club is to foster artistic ability through the art of photography, to create opportunities for those who have an interest in photography, to educate student photographers of industry standards, to create opportunities for students to express their interest in photography.<\/p>\n

Studio Art Club\u00a0<\/strong>The club is designed to promote creativity in HPU students and give them an opportunity to network and express their ideas with the Triad community. Anyone interested is welcome to join. Follow us on instagram @hpuartclub<\/p>\n

Toccatatones, Petal Points, Off-Beats\u00a0<\/strong>The a cappella ensembles at High Point University are a favorite club for many students on campus, either as singers or enthusiastic listeners.\u00a0 Each ensemble holds auditions at the beginning of the academic year and is completely run and staffed by students.\u00a0 They perform regularly at on and off-campus events and have a successful track record of performing at local and national a cappella competitions.\u00a0 All three ensembles have recordings available on all major online platforms.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
