Eric Melniczek, director of Career and Internship Services at High Point University, was recently featured in the February 2011 issue of Campus Career Counselor in an article, titled ?Networking Bee: Activity Sparks a Buzz on the Value of Relationships.?
Melniczek explains the article details a group exercise that he developed to teach college and university students the critical skill of fostering relationships for career planning and development purposes.
?The exercise helps students begin to learn the art of networking, and they also get out of their comfort zones to help someone else,? Melniczek explains. ?This strengthens their chances of securing professional employment when they graduate.?
