HPU Hosts Classic Rock As Part Of Arts Splash Concert Series

HIGH POINT, N.C., July 18, 2011 – High Point University hosted an evening of rockin’ tunes, thanks to an annual concert held on campus as part of the Arts Splash Summer Concert Series hosted by the High Point Area Arts Council.

The concert, which was held on the front lawn of Roberts Hall, featured the classic rock tunes by Tuck Vern Norm. Concert-goers packed the lawn with chairs, blankets and picnic dinners to enjoy the summer entertainment.

“We always enjoy inviting the community to our campus,” says Roger Clodfelter, associate vice president for Communication and Culture. “The Arts Splash Concert Series is always a huge success in High Point, and we are proud to be a part of it.”

The concert held at HPU is part of an eight-concert series held in various locations around High Point during the summer months. The High Point Area Arts Council partners with several organizations, including the Open Door Ministries, High Point Parks and Recreation, Companions on the Journey, The ARC of High Point, Friends of John Coltrane, the Salvation Army Boys and Girls Club, the High Point Museum and the YWCA.
