HIGH POINT, N.C., July 15, 2011 – Joe Slocum was recently hired as resident director in the student life department at High Point University.
Slocum will be overseeing the Village II and University Village residence halls.
“I am very excited to work at HPU and be a part of such a dynamic campus community,” says Slocum. “I hope to impact the lives of students at HPU by helping to provide intentional programs that engage students in the learning process during their time in the residence halls.”
Slocum is originally from Harrisonburg, Va. He is also the recipient of the “Four Year Service Award” from the South Atlantic Affiliate of College and University Residence Halls.
HPU has 879 full-time and full-time-equivalent employees, up 89 percent over 2004. By August of this year, HPU will have more than 1,000 employees.
