HIGH POINT, N.C., July 6, 2011 – Many incoming freshman at High Point University are taking a unique opportunity to start their academic experience early by participating in Summer Experience, an annual summer program where students earn up to eight college credits.
The program gives students an early start on college coursework, and it allows them to grow, develop, and transition to college life before they arrive for their first full year of college in August. This year, the program will host 230 students – the largest number in its history.

Clodfelter adds that students also have an early opportunity to familiarize themselves with resources and programs at the university that provide an extraordinary support structure before beginning the fall semester.
