HIGH POINT, N.C., Aug. 23, 2011 – Thanks to the continuous growth at High Point University in student enrollment, HPU has added 108 new jobs this summer. This brings the total number of employees at HPU to more than 1,000 – a 143 percent increase over 2005 – making it one of the largest employers in the city of High Point.
The wide range of available jobs reflects growth in all areas of HPU, including academics. The new employees include the addition of 40 new faculty members for the School of Health Sciences, School of Communication, School of Education, the School of Art and Design, the Phillips School of Business and more academic programs at HPU. Since 2005, 139 faculty members have been added – a 107 percent increase.
