HIGH POINT, N.C., Aug. 19, 2011 – Lindsey Slingerland, a rising senior and member of Kappa Delta sorority at High Point University, has hit a homerun with career experience, thanks to an exciting internship with the Chicago Cubs.
Slingerland, a double major in business administration and psychology, is working as an intern in the Fan Experience Department for the Chicago Cubs. Her responsibilities include shadowing the Wrigley Field ambassadors for game days and special events and gathering information for marketing research.
Slingerland credits her classes in marketing, management and business communications have prepared her for the wide range of tasks she is expected to perform with the Cubs.
“I am a lifelong Cubs fan, and this internship has been an amazing way to spend my final summer before graduating from HPU,” says Slingerland. “It’s been an incredible experience, and I’ve loved every minute of it.”
