HIGH POINT, N.C., Nov. 18, 2011 – Alan Allred was recently hired by the Information Technology Department at High Point University as hardware support specialist.
In his new position, Allred will be responsible for the continued maintenance of school technology resources and serving student and faculty in hardware repairs or software assistance.
“As a support specialist, it is my job to offer support for students when they face the dreaded possibility of a broken computer, especially when their work, their semester, and their lives are contained in that machine,” says Allred. “I strive to do my best to keep students up-to-date on the latest technologies and work hard so that even in a stressful moment they receive care.”
A native of High Point, Allred earned a Bachelor of Arts in media studies from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.
