HIGH POINT, N.C., Jan. 31, 2012 – High Point University recently hired Teri Cugliari in the Department of Student Life as director of Greek life.
In her position, Cugliari will be working directly with students as a liaison to the Greek sororities and fraternities on the HPU campus. Cugliari says she looks forward to providing students with leadership development opportunities, educational programming and more.
“I chose to come pursue this opportunity at High Point because it holds so much potential,” says Cugliari. “It is exciting to be a part of a community that values the student experience both inside and outside of the classroom.”
Cugliari says her area of expertise in practice is fraternity and sorority life. She has worked with fraternities and sororities for eight years in a professional capacity, serving most recently as the associate director of Greek Life at Washington and Lee University, home to the largest percentage of Greek-affiliated students in the country.
In addition to serving as director of Greek life, she has served as chapter officer for many affiliated programs and organizations, holds professional membership in several related associations, and has presented at national conferences on behalf of student affairs in higher education.
Cugliari, a native of Ohio, received her Bachelor of Arts from Kent State University and a Master of Education in educational counseling and student development from Clemson University.
