Senior Acquires Criminal Justice Experience at High Point Police Department

HIGH POINT, N.C., March 12, 2012 – Amanda Blake, a senior majoring in criminal justice at High Point University, is gaining rewarding career insight at her internship with the High Point Police Department.

As part of her internship, Blake is responsible for observing patrol officers, and managing criminal activity in the department’s crime lab and Violent Crime Unit.

“My studies at HPU have prepared me for the daily tasks that officers go through,” says Blake. “This internship has provided real-life scenarios of the information I have learned in my criminal justice classes.”

After graduating in May, Blake plans to attend law school, where she will be able to apply her on-the-job experience in the criminal justice system.
