HIGH POINT, N.C., Nov. 25, 2014 – The Office of Student Life at High Point University recently welcomed Curtis Arena to the team as area coordinator.
In his new position, Arena is responsible for supervising resident assistants and ensuring a successful residence life experience for students in their assigned residence hall. He also supervises a team of resident directors, making sure day-to-day responsibilities and expectations are met.
Originally from Rome, New York, Arena joins the HPU family with experience as a resident director, focusing on student development, diversity and health programming as well as judicial affairs. He looks forward to working with the student life staff to make HPU students’ time in the residence halls both positive and productive.
“The added opportunity to supervise professional staff in addition to still directly supervising resident assistants was a great draw for me to High Point University,” said Arena. “The more time I spend on campus, the more I am looking forward to working with such active and driven students and staff.” Arena earned an Associate of Science in liberal arts from Mohawk Valley Community College and a Bachelor of Science in speech and hearing sciences from the State University of New York at Cortland.
