#21: Athletic Training
Beginning in 2014, High Point University offered a new degree pathway for athletic training students that allows them to complete a Master of Science in Athletic Training in combination with the BS in Exercise Science in only 5 years.
By 2018, High Point University will offer two on-campus athletic training clinics including the new 4000 sq ft clinic in the Witcher Athletic Performance Center; a new dedicated athletic training musculoskeletal instructional lab (estimated to open in 2018); the Human Biomechanics and Physiology Laboratory; the patient simulation center (open 2017); and the gross anatomy lab (open 2017).

#22: International Relations
Students pursuing at degree in international relations at High Point University take courses such as Principles of Macroeconomics, European Economic History, Ethnic Politics and US Foreign Policy.
The major prepares individuals for careers or graduate coursework that will require a deep and nuanced understanding of the cultural, economic, and political forces driving contemporary global issues and relations among societies.
Examples of career fields relating to international relations include:
- international business
- law
- secondary and higher education
- political consulting and policy analysis

#23: Media and Pop Culture Studies
All studen
ts in the Nido R. Qubein School of Communication take core classes focusing on developing communication competency in different situations, enhancing critical writing skills and producing messages utilizing cutting-edge equipment and software.
Media and Pop Culture Studies is one of eight communication sequences and it explores the history, theory, analysis and rhetoric of everything from reality T.V. and blockbuster films to hip-hop culture and consumerism.
A few of the required courses in this communication sequence include movies and methods, hip hop culture, myth and media and gender speak.

#24: Nonprofit Leadership & Management
The nonprofit leadership and management degree is housed in the David R. Hayworth College of Arts and Sciences. The major is designed in order for students to learn the primary theoretical frameworks of nonprofit management, engage in participatory assignments and projects related to leadership, organizational and community development and gain professional experience working in a nonprofit organization.

#25: Computer Science
High Point University offers a B.S. and a B.A. in computer science. Our program offers a comprehensive array of classes in computer programming, image processing, website development and program development.
Students will learn programming languages such as C, C++, and Objective C, Java, Perl, php, python and java script.
They also have access to several dual 8-core Xeon servers running Red Hat Enterprise, HPC with over 5000 core processors including Nvidia Fermi and GTX Titan Mac Server (a base server for a Render Farm using RenderMan), iMac workstations running the latest Mac OS X and Dell Alienware workstations with Nvidia graphic boards running Fedora Core.
High Point University computer science graduates have gone on to work for companies such as Apple Inc., MathWorks Inc. and Microsoft.
