Class of 2016 Outcomes: Stephanie Bellisario Secures Position with Lincoln Financial

It may be early in the semester, but Commencement will be here before we know it. Many High Point University seniors are preparing to commence prestigious career paths around the world at Fortune 500 companies, international service programs, public school systems, top-tier law, medical and graduate school programs, and many other esteemed organizations thanks to their journey at HPU. Here’s a glimpse of one extraordinary senior from the Class of 2016:

Name: Stephanie Bellisario

Hometown: Wayne, Pennsylvania

Major: Bellisario will graduate with a B.S.B.A. in Business Administration, with minors in Marketing and Finance, on May 7.

Post-graduation plans: Bellisario accepted a position with the Business Operations team for Lincoln Financial in Philadelphia. In her position, she will work with securities, brokerage and investment advisory services. She will also join the company’s Leadership Preparation Program, through which she will work with senior management on group projects. While at HPU, Bellisario completed multiple internships at SEI and Fifth Third Bank.

How HPU helped you get there: “High Point University helped me by providing us students with professors who want you to succeed outside the classroom and prepare us for the real world. I utilized the Office of Career and Professional Development by setting up multiple mock interviews with either Bridget, Sue or Eric, and I was always prepared and knew about the company going into the mock interviews. I would also set up appointments with them to see if any alumni were currently working, or had worked in the past, at the company I was looking into.

Most impactful mentor at HPU: “Randy Moser was one of my favorite professors and mentor. His knowledge about the real world and his past professional career amazes me and pushes students to go that extra mile to succeed.

Most impactful moment at HPU: “High Point has impacted my life in many ways. However, one of my most impactful moments at HPU was knowing all the support I had behind me after securing a job in the beginning of my senior year.”

Advice for underclassmen: “Get an internship either going into your junior year and senior year, or just going into your senior year. This will help you understand what you are interested in, and what you will not be interested in, doing after graduation. Also, always be ahead of the process and get your name out there – but stay calm, because everything happens for a reason.
