With another successful commencement behind us, recent High Point University graduates are preparing to commence prestigious career paths around the world at Fortune 500 companies, international service programs, public school systems, top-tier law, medical and graduate school programs, and many other esteemed organizations thanks to their journey at HPU. Here’s a glimpse of one extraordinary senior from the Class of 2018:

Name: Madison Koos

Hometown: Castine, Maine

Major: Koos graduated with a B.S.B.A. in business administration and a minor in mathematics.

Post-graduation plans: As a consultant at Equity Residential in Manhattan, New York, Koos works with clients to lease apartments in several of EQR’s buildings.

How HPU helped you get there: “HPU helped me develop my professional skills and feel comfortable working in any environment. My teachers, success coach and mentors all encouraged me to work as hard as I could and maintain a positive attitude. This has helped me immensely and will continue to impact my career moving forward. I also used Career and Professional Development services to practice my interview skills and also maintain a professional and clean resume. These services definitely helped a lot and made me standout as a candidate in job applications.”

Most impactful mentor at HPU: “Pam Francisco was my success coach who worked with me to decide on a major that fit all of my interests. Without her help, I would not have taken some of the most interesting classes I’ve had at HPU, and I cannot thank her enough for her dedication to helping me achieve happiness and success.”

Most impactful moment at HPU: “Joining Kappa Delta sorority was extremely impactful in all aspects of my college career. I joined a strong group of women who helped me succeed and pushed me to reach all of my goals at HPU. Without Kappa Delta, I would not have found some of my best friends.”

Advice for underclassmen: “Get involved in as many things as you can. The best part about HPU is all of the opportunities you are given. You just have to become involved to see how to reach your full potential!”
