Commencement Ceremony<\/span><\/h3>\n

The Graduation Ceremony is for High Point University candidates for graduation, their families and guests, and university faculty, staff, students and special guests.\u00a0It is not open to the general public.
\n<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

Appropriate dress for this event is business attire.<\/span><\/p>\n

Details regarding parking for the Commencement Ceremony will be provided in the coming weeks.<\/p>\n

Parking will be available on campus for guests with special needs on a first-come, first-served basis.\u00a0 Drivers must display state-issued placards or license plates to enter the parking lot. Please enter campus at the University Parkway Welcome Center at Panther Drive.<\/p>\n

Please cooperate as HPU employs heightened security measures due to the renown of the Commencement speaker. Guests may be inconvenienced with additional security checks.<\/span><\/p>\n

Thank you for being considerate and respectful of the ceremony. Please be respectful of this formal occasion and refrain from loud talking and other noises.<\/p>\n

Due to the formality of the ceremony, noisemakers and pets will not be permitted.<\/p>\n

Please observe the rope barricades and closed areas. Guests are asked to honor requests made by Junior Marshals.<\/p>\n

Restrooms are available at the Hayworth Fine Arts Center, Slane Student Center and beside Wrenn Hall.<\/p>\n

Coffee and food will be available to purchase in the Slane Student Center. Bottled water will be available at Roberts Hall Lawn.<\/p>\n

Temperatures vary widely in May, so be prepared for\u00a0various weather scenarios.<\/a><\/p>\n

The ceremony will be live streamed at www.highpoint.edu\/live-stream<\/a>.<\/p>\n

A photographer with Photo Specialties will take photos of individual graduates during the commencement ceremony.
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

A free color proof will be sent to your current mailing address, including a password for online viewing.\u00a0 You are under no obligation to purchase prints.\u00a0 To receive an email notification the moment your photos are online, please visit www.photospecialties.com<\/a> to pre-register.\u00a0 If you do not receive a proof within a week of the ceremony, please contact info@photospecialties.com<\/a> or call 919-967-9576.<\/p>\n

Photographing candidates for graduation during the Graduation Ceremony is permissible. The platform area is restricted and may not be used for photographs. Please be respectful of boundaries; they have been put in place to prevent injury.<\/p>\n

First aid service is available during the Graduation Ceremony. Anyone in need of assistance should contact uniformed officers or visit the Information\/Security Station located next to Finch Hall. Security can be reached at 336-841-9111.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
