«All Events

  • This event has passed.

The Winds Across the World concert by the Wind Ensemble is a one-hour concert and includes music of varying regions and cultures of the world. Featured on the program will be guest artist Dr. Matthew Murchison. Dr. Murchison, on faculty at Cornell University, will be featured as a tuba and euphonium soloist, also as a conductor of his own composition. In celebration of Black History Month, works by two of today’s leading composers for winds, Kevin Day and Omar Thomas, will be featured on the program.

This is a rare opportunity to experience a live performance featuring an artist in four roles – soloist on two different instruments, composer and conductor.

Tickets are required.
