Black Cultural Awareness
Black Cultural Awareness promotes awareness of Black heritage at High Point University and throughout the High Point community. Our goal is to bring students together who have a common interest in the Black culture and in particular, in its heritage. We wish to create a forum for the free expression of views on the social, economic, legal and political aspects of issues affecting the Black community and to precipitate unity among the minority Black population of High Point University. This club is not racially exclusive, therefore anyone is welcome to join.

What Its Like to be Black at HPU
Black Student Union
The purpose of HPU’s Black Student Union is to provide a place on campus for African-American students to develop and interlace with one another. BSU stands on three pillars: community, culture, and conversation. We aim to cultivate a continuous relationship between the Black students, as well as Black administration at High Point University. We hope to actively promote a positive image of the African-American population at large, and the history our culture is built on. The Black Student Union will practice leadership, service and advocacy through conversations and activities on campus, and in the community around us.
