Mentorship Program

The goal of the First-Generation Mentorship Program is to support first-generation students as they transition to college, and persist to attain their degree. The Office of Multicultural Affairs and Lambda Pi Chi Sorority are collaborating to implement a strategic initiative with faculty, staff, and students to increase the matriculation, retention, and attainment of our first-generation students.
The program with focus on: Strengthening the network of support across campus to limit office-to-office runaround, establishing peer-to-peer connections, helping to recognize and decrease the Imposter Syndrome*, building an engaged community, and aligning with HPU values in inclusivity and growth mindset.
