Points Program

Employees who earn the 1000 points, between March 1, 2021 – February 28, 2022, will be eligible for the Wellness Medical Plan which is a savings of $600 off the employee portion of the Standard Medical Plan premium for the 2022-2023 benefit plan year (which will begin on June 1, 2022).

Your health plan is committed to helping you achieve your best health status. Participation in the wellness program are available to all employees. If you think you might be unable to meet a standard for a reward under this wellness program, you might qualify for an opportunity to earn the same reward by different means. Contact the Director of Employee Wellness, and we will work with you (and, if you wish, with your doctor) to find a wellness program with the same reward that is right for you in light of your health status.

This point structure is for current employees and those who are hired from March 1, 2021 through October 31, 2021. Any employee hired from November 1, 2021, to February 28, 2022, will be grandfathered into the Wellness Incentive for the 2022-2023 benefits year. Anyone hired after March 1, 2021, who elects medical benefits with the university health plan, will automatically be enrolled into the HPU Medical plan at the wellness rate for the remainder of the 2021-2022 benefits year, but will need to begin accruing points to earn the reward the 2022-2023 benefits plan year.
