Employees who earn the 1000 points, between March 1, 2022 – February 28, 2023, will be eligible for the Wellness Medical Plan which is a savings of $600 off the employee portion of the Standard Medical Plan premium for the 2023-2024 benefit plan year (which will begin on June 1, 2023).

Your health plan is committed to helping you achieve your best health status. Participation in the wellness program are available to all employees. If you think you might be unable to meet a standard for a reward under this wellness program, you might qualify for an opportunity to earn the same reward by different means. Contact the Director of Employee Wellness, and we will work with you (and, if you wish, with your doctor) to find a wellness program with the same reward that is right for you in light of your health status.

This point structure is for current employees and those who are hired from March 1, 2022 through October 31, 2022. Any employee hired from November 1, 2022, to February 28, 2023, will be grandfathered into the Wellness Incentive for the 2023-2024 benefits year. Anyone hired after March 1, 2022, who elects medical benefits with the university health plan, will automatically be enrolled into the HPU Medical plan at the wellness rate for the remainder of the 2022-2023 benefits year, but will need to begin accruing points to earn the reward the 2023-2024 benefits plan year.

As part of our holistic wellness program, Employee Wellness encourages employees to know their risk levels.

The biometric screening is encouraged for HPU employees to learn what their risk factors may be. During the 2021/2022 Incentive Points Cycle, HPU has elected not to host an on-site screening, but does encourages employees to complete a biometric screening (worth 50 points) with their primary care provider.

To complete this activity,  take the Biometric Screening form to your physician and have them fax it to our vendor. Log into the Virgin Pulse portal and download the physician form under the Benefits page.

Tuesday, September 28: 9am to 11am

Wednesday, September 29: 1pm to 3pm

Thursday, September 30: 10am to 2pm
