Entrepreneurs and small business owners are at the\u00a0heart of the American economy.<\/b>\u00a0 Small businesses are a\u00a0major US employer\u00a0(more than 50 percent of all private sector workers are employed by small businesses), and are responsible for 75 percent of the new jobs in the U.S. economy.\u00a0 Small business activity is also\u00a0important to the global economy:\u00a0small businesses, producing 29 percent of all export value, are responsible for creating more than 50 percent of the nonfarm private gross domestic product in the U.S.*<\/p>\n
The Entrepreneurship\u00a0Program at High Point University offers students a\u00a0unique combination of courses\u00a0that provides students with an understanding of small business development and management.\u00a0 In addition, students may select from an array of electives through which more specialized business knowledge can be attained.<\/p>\n
