The program is open to any current student in good standing.\u00a0 The purpose of this fund is to invest in some of High Point University\u2019s most exciting student business ventures.<\/p>\n<p>Students will perform all due diligence, make investment decisions, and interact with business leaders and successful entrepreneurs while learning how to take their companies to the next level.<\/p>\n<h3>Objectives:<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>to provide students a \u201creal world\u201d experience where they can develop their business ideas, increasing the probability of the success of their venture.<\/li>\n<li>to promote the creation and development of successful entrepreneurs at High Point University.<\/li>\n<li>to provide support and funding to the most innovative business ideas from undergraduate students.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong>How to apply:<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Applications will be reviewed by a panel of judges and will be scored based on the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Business model clarity, sustainability, and feasibility<\/li>\n<li>Clear demonstration of insights into problem being solved.<\/li>\n<li>Originality of product\/service<\/li>\n<li>Understanding of market opportunity and competitive landscape<\/li>\n<li>Potential investor possibilities and attractiveness<\/li>\n<li>Team competencies, passion, and commitment to venture<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Grant amounts generally range from $500 to $1,500.<\/p>\n<p>Actual amounts will be determined based on evaluation of the student\u2019s application.<\/p>\n<p>Applications will be approved by a committee of faculty from the David S.
