2026 – 2027\u00a0 Undergraduate Cost of Attendance<\/h3>\n

For undergraduate students, the cost of attendance includes tuition & fees, housing, food, and indirect costs. <\/strong><\/p>\n

Students may also have special course fees added to the charges, such as lab or equipment fees. In addition to the direct charges assessed by our Office of Student Accounts<\/a>, students will also have indirect costs such as books, course materials, supplies and equipment; transportation; and personal expenses.\u00a0 Students and parents should budget for these items based on the student\u2019s individual situation. These indirect costs are estimated below to help families budget accordingly. Housing is billed based on the assigned housing tier.<\/p>\n

Additional Charges<\/h6>\n

Furthermore, there are a few additional charges that may appear on the student’s bill:<\/p>\n

1. **Student Health Insurance:** Students must provide proof of health insurance or enroll in the Student Health Insurance Plan. International Students<\/h6>\n

International students holding an F-1 visa will incur an additional fee of $1,500 for the academic year.<\/p>\n

Full-Time Students<\/h6>\n

Students enrolling in 12 to 18 semester credits will be subject to the full-time tuition and general fees. Additionally, if a student registers for more than 18 credit hours in a semester during the 2026-2027 academic year, an extra charge of $1,055 per additional credit hour will apply.<\/p>\n

Part-Time Students<\/h6>\n

For students attending on a part-time basis (1-11 credits), the tuition rate is $1,405 per credit hour, along with $2,973 in fees. Part-time students are required to pay general fees and will have access to all student activities outside of the classroom, including intramural activities, student government, Greek Life, the Student Health Center, and the Slane Student Fitness Center.<\/p>\n

Housing<\/h6>\n

There will be an additional cost for students selecting upgraded housing options. Approximately 98% of freshmen are placed in Tier 1 and Tier 2 housing. Please note that availability of all housing tier options is not guaranteed throughout the four years.<\/em><\/p>\n

All High Point University students are required to live on campus until they reach senior status, unless they are commuting from their parent’s permanent address. If students choose off-campus housing during their senior year, their residence must be located outside a one-mile radius of the campus.
