Charles Sturt University offers a range of experiential learning courses in a small class setting over several disciplines. HPU students will primarily study on the main campus in Bathurst, Australia, and can take courses in Business, Communication (PR, Journalism), Exercise Science, Computer Science, Criminal Justice, and Psychology. Students also can take courses in Graphic Design at the Wagga Wagga campus.

For High Point University to recognize the credits you complete abroad, you must earn at least a grade equivalent to a C in the U.S. HPU will not accept credit for courses with grades of C– or below. Grades for all courses earned abroad are recorded on the international transcript. Credits are received by HPU as transfer credits which means the credit is received but the grade is not. Your HPU grade point average will not be impacted positively or negatively by your study abroad courses.

To best understand billing for semester study abroad at High Point University, it’s important to distinguish between the 4 main areas of HPU billing, tuition (the academic/classroom expenses), fees, room, and board:
Application Fee*: In addition to the Tuition, Fees, Room & Board expenses, all study abroad applications are billed an application fee. This fee is non-refundable and is not applied towards the tuition & fees billing for the semester.
Upon arriving in Australia, arrangements for greeting at the local train station or airport can be set up at any time between 8am and 8pm, and is free of charge.
Orientation week, known as O-Week, is held the week before the start of classes and is designed to help students prepare for courses, understand the Australian health care system, banking, transportation, facilities, and other aspects of the Australian culture. Students will be provided with a student liaison officer, a local student who is there to help you settle into living and studying in Australia. Students also will take part in various social activities which makes meeting new people very easy.
Likewise, the campuses have a lot to offer whether you want to join a group of students from your major, play a sport, join a social activity, or be a part of a cultural or religious club, there are plenty of ways to get involved. There’s even a club just for international students! Clubs are different on each campus, depending on interest and the courses offered.
CSU’s campuses also offer cafes, canteens, convenience stores, dining rooms, student bars with live entertainment, sporting facilities, bus services, bookshops, postal services and much more. Although campuses are all located in different cities, each has something special to offer and regardless of your choice of location, there will plenty to do and explore.
