About Universidad Pontificia Comillas
Universidad Pontifica Comillas was established in 1890 as a Catholic Seminary. Today, the private university offers a variety of bachelor degrees that are available to domestic and international students. With over 1,900 international students studying at Comillas, the university is well-equipped to receive students from HPU. The 2017 Specialized International Courses will be offered in Madrid from May 29 to June 23, 2017. These courses, taught in Spanish, will be in the fields of Commerce, Business Management, Marketing, Law, Business Strategies, Engineering, and Ethics and Human Rights. The courses have a duration of four weeks, with a total of 90 class hours.
The Course in Spanish Language and Culture will be taught from May 22 to June 16, 2017. It consists of 60 hours (taught over a period of 4 weeks) and is aimed at students with an intermediate level of Spanish.

For High Point University to recognize the credits you complete abroad, you must earn at least a grade equivalent to a C in the U.S. HPU will not accept credit for courses with grades of C– or below. Grades for all courses earned abroad are recorded on the international transcript. Credits are received by HPU as transfer credits which means the credit is received but the grade is not. Your HPU grade point average will not be impacted positively or negatively by your study abroad courses.

During the summer, in conjunction with the Institute of Modern Languages, “Comillas International” organises Spanish Language and Culture modules for foreign university students. In additional to the courses, students will have access to:

The price of the Specialized International Courses program (without accommodation) is €1,326 including, in addition to classes, student card, access to all university services, cultural visits to the Prado Museum and the Royal Palace, technical visits to companies and institutions And public and private bodies, diploma and transcript.
The fee for the Spanish Language & Culture Course (not including accommodation) is €1020, which includes tuition fees, all course materials, cultural visits, a student card giving access to libraries, gym and computer and internet facilities.
