Educational Resources

The Office of Greek Life strives to provide educational resources for chapter leadership and general membership.  It is the responsibility of the member to be familiar with all High Point University policies and procedures regarding Greek Life.

2018-19 Guide to Greek Life

  • The Guide to Greek Life is everything you need to know regarding Greek Life policies.  The document is sent electronically to fraternity/sorority members each fall.  New members will receive an electronic copy during their new member process.   Fraternity/sorority members should be familiar with these policies and are encouraged to review this document each semester.

Risk Reduction Presentation

  • This presentation is shown at the start of each semester to chapter leadership outlining the university’s policies for social events. It must be presented by chapter leadership to the entire chapter membership within the first two weeks of the start of the semester and two weeks after getting new members. Confirmation of chapter training must be submitted here.

Know Your Pour

  • This document, produced by Zeta Tau Alpha, Sigma Nu, Pi Kappa Phi & Alpha Chi Omega provides the definition of a standard drink and tips for moderating your drinking

FIPG Policy July 2008

  • FIPG is the most widely recognized basic risk managment plan utlized by fraternities and sororities.


  • High Point University uses the BYOB policy as outlined by the North American Interfraternity Conference and FIPG.


  • This document, produced by Pi Kappa Phi Fraternity, is a helpful guide to hosting a successful third party event.

Designated Driver Programs

  • This document, produced by Willis HRH, reviews the risk associated with designated driver or “sober driver” programs.  Willis HRH is one of only two insurance companies that insure Greek letter organizations.


  • This document, produced by Pi Kappa Phi fraternity, outlines the common signs and symptoms of alcohol poisoning.
