How to apply<\/h3>\n

Each year the office of Undergraduate Research and Creative Works offers two $300<\/strong>\u00a0monetary awards at HIGH-PURCS:<\/p>\n

Best visual presentation (posters, exhibits)<\/h4>\n

Best oral presentation (oral presentations, performances)<\/h4>\n

Winners are announced at the Opening Remarks the day of the event.<\/h4>\n

Deadline for submissions is April 03. Upload on the main page.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Helpful notes for applying for a conference award<\/h4>\n

Students creating posters should send a pdf of their poster with a brief introductory voiceover<\/strong>. Students doing oral presentations must create a voice-over<\/strong> with their PowerPoint or a movie file. Instructions can be found on the sidebar. You will be evaluated on your presentation style, not the work itself.<\/p>\n

When submitting your presentation to be considered for an award, please make sure your filename includes your name and whether you are submitting a poster, oral presentation or performance. For example: “Joanne.Altman.poster<\/strong>“.<\/p>\n

Be sure anyone can read your file format (mov, mp4, mPEG-4 video, avi, wmv, mpv). If it cannot be opened we will not include it. Poster are best in pdf format. This website platform is limited to a 2MB upload limit. So you will need to create a Word Doc or PDF. Put your name on it and put links to your presentations and video files.\u00a0 Double check with a friend that all shared files that you linked in are able to be opened. Then name the single page file and upload it.<\/p>\n

This is NOT your formal submission for High-PURCS. It is also not required. This submission is a request to be considered for a High-PURCS award.<\/p>\n
