\"natt<\/a>On May 23, 2023<\/strong>, HPU Law Professor and Associate Dean Natt Gantt served as a faculty presenter at the Christian Legal Society (CLS) Law School Fellows Program in Washington, D.C. Professor Gantt delivered a three-hour interactive presentation titled \u201cIntegration as Integrity: Developing Your Professional Identity as an Aspiring Christian Lawyer.\u201d In the presentation, Professor Gantt discussed many topics, ranging from the meaning of integrity as a virtue, the importance of character formation for law students, ethical decision-making in law school and law practice, and how to respond to the well-being challenges law students and lawyers face. As part of the session, Professor Gantt presented the attending student fellows with several hypothetical scenarios, which they discussed in groups, regarding difficult issues such as ethical decision-making in unclear situations and finding balance in the busyness of law school and law practice.<\/p>\n

The CLS\u00a0Law School Fellows program is a week-long summer program designed for rising second-year and third-year law students seeking a deeper\u00a0understanding of how biblical truth relates to legal institutions and to the study and practice of law.\u00a0The week provides theological and philosophical tools for a mission-minded approach to legal study and law practice. The Fellows program began in 2018, and Professor Gantt has served as a program faculty member for each of its now six years of sessions. He is a national expert on professional and ethical formation for law students and lawyers.<\/p>\n

\u201cBeing able to present on such foundational topics to such motivated law students is inspiring,\u201d said Professor Gantt. \u201cThe energy in the room is always high as we discuss critical topics like how to live with integrity as a law student and lawyer.
